What our guests are saying

Daruma is a fantastic new ramen bar in the heart of Mid-City! We stopped in for lunch and were really impressed. The soup dumplings were absolutely delicious, and the buta gyoza was just as good. The lunch portion of hibachi steak was nicely done, but the real star of the meal was the sesame chicken — outstanding flavor. The service was welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better. Please be considerate as they’ve only been open for a week — this is clearly not their first rodeo, and they already know the small kinks they need to work out. Excited to see them continue to grow. Definitely worth a visit!

The new Daruma Ramen Bar on Gov’t Street started their soft opening recently, so we had to give it a try! Even thought our waitress was on her first day, she was attentive and did a great job! First off, the renovations are absolutely beautiful! I started out with the Triple Dumplings – three vegetable, three pork, and three shrimp steamed dumplings. Each one had a distinct flavor and they were all delicious. I got the Shrimp Tempura Ramen, and Natasha got the Spicy Beef Tendon Ramen. The portion sizes were large, the ramen was hearty, and definitely filling! For the first day open, the service was pretty good. A little snafu with a to go order at the end, but that will be worked out. We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend you give it a try! This is a wonderful addition to Mid-City!

Great ramen spot, highly recommend. New Orleans wings were great, get them as a meal or an app. The home made teas were a big hit at the table.

First, time here. I ordered, the LSU ramen. I thought, the inclusion of crawfish tail was unique… so, I tried it. Personally, I feel the flavor could have been amp’d up a little 🌶️ the presentation, was beautiful. Noodles, I am indifferent. My waiter, was super amazing & attentive
